INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Neumann men's soccer team was part of the 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, as announced by the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Committee Monday morning.
This is the Knight's third-consecutive year making the tournament, as they are set to face off against Wheaton (MA) in first-round action Saturday, November 15, at 1:30 p.m.
Neumann (13-3-3) won the Atlantic East title, recording a 2-0 win against Marymount, to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. This is the Knight's sixth ever appearance in the tournament, with its best run being a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2011. The last two years, Neumann has bowed out on the opening round following losses to Amherst and Mary Washington. AJ Henry, the 2025 Atlantic East Tournament MVP, will hope to hold down the fort for the Knights.
Wheaton (14-1-4) is making its eleventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament, its first since 2014. The Lyons last match was a 1-0 loss to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI on November 6 in the NEWMAC semifinals.
The winner of the Wheaton-Neumann game will face the winner of SUNY Geneseo (13-5-3) and Middlebury (9-5-2) on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. The national semifinals will take place in Salem, Va., on Friday, December 5., followed by the Championship game on Sunday, December 7 at 12:00 p.m.
