LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Softball weekly award winners on Monday, as Cabrini’s Kaitlyn Delaney was named player of the week and Centenary’s Jaelynn Miller was tabbed Pitcher of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Delaney turned eyes during the Cavaliers' most recent doubleheader, hitting 3 home runs against Immaculata. Delaney went 2-3 in the opening game with 2 HRs, 4 RBIs, and a walk. She displayed pop in the second matchup as well, going 2-3 with a home run, a double, 3 runs and 3 RBIs. Delaney added a hit and supplied the Cavs' lone run in the second half of the Cavs' doubleheader with Centenary. The senior catcher was error-free, allowed no passed balls and just two stolen bases, and recorded 20 putouts over three games behind the dish.
Pitcher of the Week:
Name: Jaelynn Miller
School: Centenary
Class: Junior
Position: Pitcher/ Shortstop
Hometown: Oxford, N.J.
High School: Warren Hills
Brief Outlook of Week: Miller tallied 22.2 innings on the week allowing just three runs with three wins and a save. The junior also collected 17 strikeouts. In four appearances she pitched a two complete games with Cedar Crest and Cabrini while adding 6.2 innings of work against Gwynedd Mercy and 2.0 innings in a save against Cabrini.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jocelyn Baumeister (Sr., Pitcher/Infield, Gwynedd Mercy): Baumeister was outstanding in AEC doubleheaders with Marymount and Centenary. On the mound she completed nine innings in a 1-1 suspended contest, where she allowed one one on on five hits, while striking out three Saints. Later, she earned her fifth win (5-3) of the season by shutout fashion with a four strikeout performance in a 7-0, game-two final versus the Cyclones; it was her eighth straight start with one earned run or less. Meanwhile, at the plate she went 4-for-14…including a 4-for-7, 4-RBI doubleheader against Centenary.
Elizabeth Shire? (Sr., Third base, Neumann): Elizabeth Shire hit .556 (10-for-18) in a 4-2 overall week, 2-0 in the Atlantic East. The senior had 10 hits, including four doubles, knocked in four runs and scored four runs. Three of her four doubles and all four RBI came in a shutout sweep over Elizabethtown.
Olivia Ammon (Jr., Pitcher, Neumann): Ammon went 2-0 with two complete games in the circle and three appearances. In 19.0 innings, she allowed two runs for a 0.74 ERA and struck out seven. In a 4-2 win over Immaculata, the junior allowed two runs on seven hits over 7.0 innings. She went 5.0 innings in relief against DeSales and allowed no runs and three hits. Ammon rounded out the week with a complete-game shutout (6-0) over Elizabethtown where she allowed five hits and struck out four.
