LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Track and Field weekly award winners on Tuesday as Marywood’s Noah Zeigler earned Track Athlete of the Week while teammate Will Kalinich claimed Field Athlete of the Week.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Name: Noah Zeigler
Class: Sophomore
School: Marywood
Hometown: Lake Ariel, Pa.
High School: Western Wayne
Brief Outlook of Week: Zeigler finished in the top three in both sprints at Misericordia Twighlight Invitational. He was runner-up in the 100m dash in 11.14 seconds. The sophomore then finished third in the 200 with a time of 23.06. His times rank first and second, respectively, in the Atlantic East performance sheets. His 4 x100 relay team finished fourth with a time of 45.69.
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Name: Will Kalinich
Class: Sophomore
School: Marywood
Hometown: Scranton, Pa.
High School: Holy Cross
Brief Outlook of Week: Kalinich came in second place in the javelin with a distance of 163 feet, 6 inches (49.85m). His throw ranks third all-time at Marywood. He also came in fifth in the shot put (39-3, 11.97m). Both throws take the top spot in the Atlantic East performance lists.
