LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Track and Field weekly award winners on Tuesday as Marywood's Noah Zeigler earned Track Athlete of the Week while Marymount's Dylan Vallade claimed Field Athlete of the Week.
Men's Track Athlete of the Week:
Name: Noah Zeigler
Class: Sophomore
School: Marywood
Hometown: Lake Ariel, Pa.
High School: Western Wayne
Brief Outlook of Week: Facing severe headwinds, Noah Zeigler swept the sprinting events at King's. He crossed the finish line first in a 17-man 100 dash field in 11.51 seconds. Zeigler was top finisher of 21 runners in the 200 dash, clocking in at 24.46 seconds with a minus-6 wind resistance.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week:
Name: Dylan Vallade
Class: Senior
School: Marymount
Hometown: Elkridge, Md.
High School: Calvert College
Brief Outlook of Week: Senior Dylan Vallade won the high jump event at the Blue & Gold Goucher Classic on Sunday. He finished with a mark of 1.82m in the event.
Weekly Honor Roll:.
Will Kalinich (So., Marywood): Kalinich recorded the third-best shot put throw in school history at Susquehanna. He finished 10
th with a distance of 12.2m. A week earlier Kalinich placed fifth at King's in both the discus (31.65m), and hammer (26.03m).
Chris Mendoza (Jr., Immaculata): Mendoza finished ninth in the 400-meter dash at the Ursinus Outdoor Invitational and was a member of the Mighty Macs 4x400-meter relay team that finished third in the event.
