Payton, Quick Garner Baseball Weekly Accolades

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the baseball weekly honors on Monday, as Immaculata University's Isaiah Payton earned Player of the Week and Marywood University's Tyler Quick garnered Pitcher of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Junior Isaiah Payton turned in a strong week offensively for the Mighty Macs. Payton went 5-for-13 at the plate on the week, recording three doubles while scoring five runs and driving in seven. Payton also recorded three walks and two stolen bases to help lead the Macs to a 3-1 record on the week.

School: Marywood University

Brief Outlook of Week: Tyler Quick picked up two saves while the Pacers were in Florida to help the Pacers a 5-3 mark and seven wins overall, matching their win total from 2021. The junior hurler struck out three in 3.1 innings of relief work, securing Marywood wins over Geneva and Wilkes (handing the Colonels their first loss of the season in the process). Quick held opponents to a .167 batting average, allowed just two hit, did not walk anyone, and did not allow an extra base hit.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Jake Schuster (Grad/ Marywood): Schuster led Marywood to a 5-3 record over spring break. The Pacers' first baseman batted .391 with two doubles and two triples to go along with three RBI. In all, Schuster had a .652 slugging percentage and .548 on-base percentagee. In the field, he had 41 putouts and two assists without an error for a 1.000 fielding percentage over the eight games.

Marcus White (Junior / Neumann): Marcus White was 2-for-2 with a walk and three RBI in a 14-10 win at Stockton on the lone game of the week for Neumann. The junior also scored three runs.

Paul Links (Senior/ Centenary): Links went 4-for-7 in a doubleheader split with New Paltz. His first career home run in game two, a three run shot to left proved to be the difference in the Cyclones' 5-4 win. Links was 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base in the game two win.

Mitchell Bramsway (Sophomore / Gwynedd Mercy): Bramsway pitched the final 3.1 of the Griffins' 4-3, 10-inning loss to Catholic University. He allowed a run on a hit and six walks, while striking out four.
