Baseball 3/7/2022 11:22:22 AM McKisson, Guiro Awarded Baseball Players of the Week LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the baseball weekly honors on Monday, as Cabrini University's Mack McKisson earned Player of the Week and Centenary University's Nick Guiro garnered Pitcher of the Week. Player of the Week: Name: Mack McKisson School: Cabrini University Class: Senior Position: CF Hometown: Odenton, MD High School: Arundel Brief Outlook of Week: McKisson led hit .455 (15-33) with 11 RBI and 9 runs scored, as Cabrini went 7-1 last week in Myrtle Beach. The senior recorded 4 multi-hit games, including a 3-5 performance against Eastern that included a double, 2 triples, 3 runs and 6 RBI. McKisson also became the first player in program history to record 200 carer hits in Friday's DH sweep of SUNY Purchase. Pitcher of the Week: Name: Nick Guiro School: Centenary University Class: Sophomore Position: Pitcher Hometown: Brick, NJ High School: Brick Township Brief Outlook of Week: Guiro tossed a complete game to get the Cyclones their first win of the year. The sophomore right hander allowed just one run on three hits in seven innings of work. It was Guiro's second complete game of his career. He struck out nine batters in the contest, a career-high and the most by an Atlantic East pitcher this year. Guiro allowed just four runners to reach second base in the contest as he did not walk a batter. Weekly Honor Roll: Alex Lemery (Senior / Marymount): Lemery led the Saints to three victories last week as they improved to 8-0 on the season. The senior went 5-for-10 at the dish with three RBI, seven runs, two walks, and one stolen base. The highlight of the week came n an 11-8 shootout win over Randolph-Macon, where Lemery went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. After his performance last week, the senior has registered a hit in all 8 games to open the season and his batting average sits at .467. TJ Brasier (Senior / Gwynedd Mercy): Brasier was 2-for-4 with 3RBI in the Griffins' 13-1 win over Valley Forge University and he continued to produce despite a 0-3 start in Myrtle Beach. He scored four runs and knocked in four runs with a .500/.643/1.200 (AVG/OBP/SLG) slash line. Brasier is 5-for-10 with a double, two home runs, and four walks in Myrtle Beach. Pat Toal (Sophomore / Cabrini): Toal went 2-0 last week, allowing just 2 earned runs over 12.1 innings with 13 strikeouts. The sophomore tossed 3.1 innings of scoreless ball with six strikeouts in a 5-4 victory over Eastern. Toal returned to the bump on Saturday, pitching a complete game win over #24 Kean, handing the Cougars their first loss of the season. Toal allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 9 innings with 7 strikeouts. Kyle Lewis (Sophomore / Marymount): Lewis was stellar as he earned his second win of the season in Marymount's 3-2 win over Ohio Northern. The sophomore went the distance in the seven-inning affair and allowed just two runs and two hits. Lewis struck out nine batters over the course of the contest and didn't allow a hit until the seventh inning as the Saints improved to 8-0.
