Marymount Sweeps Baseball Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the baseball weekly honors on Monday, as Ryo Fabre and Kyle Lewis of Marymount University earned Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week.

Player of the Week: 
Name: Ryo Fabre
School: Marymount University
Class: Junior

Hometown: Clarksburg, MD
High School: Montgomery C.C.
Brief Outlook of Week: Fabre did plenty of damage at the dish for MArymount as the Saints extended their season-opening unbeaten run to five games with a pair of wins over Averett. The junior went 4-for-6 at the dish with four RBI, two walks, one walk, and one run scored. In a 9-2 win over the Cougars in game one, Fabre went 2-for-3 with a double, one walk and two RBI. In game two, Fabre once again finished 2-for-3 with two RBI. He worked one walk, swiped one base, and scored a run as the Saints won, 6-1.
 
Pitcher of the Week:
Name: Kyle Lewis
School: Marymount University
Class: Sophomore
Position: Pitcher
Hometown: Broadlands, VA
High School: Briar Woods
Brief Outlook of Week: Lewis earned his first win of the season on the mound in Marymount's 6-1 win over Averett. The sophomore tossed 4.0 innings of two-hit ball to keep the Cougars at bay. He fanned six batters along the way to secure the win for the Saints.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Jake Martell (Senior / Gwynedd Mercy: Martell was 10-for-16 with 4 2B, 4 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases (2-of-3) during the Griffins 2-2 showing versus Rosemont College and Hood College. He recorded three of his RBI with a base-clearing double in the sixth inning of an 8-6 game-one loss versus the Blazers. He finished that game 4-for-4.
