LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday, as Neumann’s Jalen Vaughns earned Player of the Week, while Wyatt Hockenberry from Marymount was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week:
Name: Jalen Vaughns
School: Neumann University

Position: Forward/Guard
Hometown: Tobyhanna, Pa.
High School: Pocono Mountain West
Brief Outlook of Week: Vaughns led Neumann to a 3-0 week by averaging 27.0 points and 9.7 rebounds. In an 86-64 win over Rosemont to start the week, the junior netted 25 points in 25 minutes. Vaughns followed with 34 points and 11 assists in 28 minutes in an 89-64 win over Washington College. To wrap up the week, Vaughns scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 76-68 win at Susquehanna. The junior finished the week shooting a staggering 75 percent from the field.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name:  Wyatt Hockenberry
School:  Marymount University
Class: Junior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Kennett Square, Pa.
High School:  Unionville
Brief Outlook of Week:  Hockenberry was strong defensively as Marymount faced off with Dickinson and No. Christopher Newport. The junior tallied 1.5 steals per game as well as two defensive rebounds per game. His strong minutes were valuable to bring the Saints to a 1-1 week as he also added 13.5 points and two assists per game.
 
Weekly Honor Roll:

Manny Clark (Jr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy): In one game this week Clark finished with 21 points and seven rebounds against DII opponent Chestnut Hill.

Marcus Stubbs (Jr., Guard, Marymount: Stubbs scored a career-high 28 points in a road win over Dickinson last Wednesday, shooting 6-of-8 from the beyond the arc and 11-of-14 from the field (78.6 percent). He added 14 points and went 7-of-7 from the charity stripe against No. 1 Christopher Newport on Sunday. The junior leads the conference in 3-points per game (3.7) and free-throw percentage (93.3 percent).
