LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday, as Marymount’s Marcus Stubbs earned Player of the Week and Neumann’s Jalen Vaughns grabbed Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week:
Name: Marcus Stubbs
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position:  Guard
Hometown:  Boyds, Md.
High School: Northwest
Brief Outlook of Week: Stubbs had a strong impact on the court for the Saints over the course of their 2-1 week. Scoring 69 total points across Marymount's three games last week, the junior shot .454 from the floor, .441 from beyond the arc. In the win against Rowan, Stubbs knocked the game-winning three pointer in the final seconds to take the advantage. He maintained a steady presence on the offensive end of the court for the Saints across the weekend's Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament, earning the Most Outstanding Player of all teams.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Jalen Vaughns
School: Neumann University
Class: Junior
Position: Forward/Guard
Hometown: Tobyhanna, Pa.
High School: Pocono Mountain West
Brief Outlook of Week:  Vaughns averaged 22.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Neumann at the TCNJ Tip-Off Tournament. Vaughns was named the tournament MVP. In the win over Penn State Altoona, the junior scored 17 points. In the win over TCNJ, Vaughns netted 27 points and 11 rebounds for another double-double on the season. The junior also tallied one steal per game. In an exhibition game earlier in the week, Vaughns scored 16 points against DI Wagner.
 
Weekly Honor Roll:
TJ Lewis (So., G, Neumann): Lewis averaged 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds as Neumann wen 2-0 and won the TCNJ Tip-Off Tournament last week. Lewis was named to the All-Tournament team. In the win over Penn State Altoona, the sophomore netted 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists. He Followed with 13 points, including going 9-for-10 from the line, in a win over TCNJ.
