Youngken, Arter Earn Field Hockey Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey players of the week on Monday as Marywood's Lauren Youngken was named offensive player of the week and Angelina Arter of St. Mary's earned defensive player of the week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Youngken tallied seven points on three goals and an assist in a 5-0 win at Neumann Wednesday night to help the Pacers clinch the #4 seed in the AEC post-season tournament. Her first tally of the game came just 3:43 into the contest, proving to be the game-winner.

Defensive Player of the Week:

Position: Defense/Midfield

Brief Outlook of Week: Angelina Arter was part of a defensive unit that limited the conference's top offensive player, Caroline Gallagher, to 0 goals on three shots as the Seahawks picked up the 2-1 win over Cabrini and the No. 1 seed.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Gabrielle Corder (St. Mary's /Senior / Midfield): Gabrielle Corder scored the second goal in the Seahawks' 2-1 win over Cabrini to secure the No. 1 seed in the tournament. Corder leads the team with six assists while ranking second with four goals.

Morgan Lawless (Gwynedd Mercy/Freshman/GK): Lawless made six saves in a 1-0 overtime loss at #5 Kean University. She played 64 minutes.
