St. Mary's Sweeps Field Hockey Weekly Accolades

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey players of the week on Monday as St. Mary's College of Maryland swept both awards. Audrey Dickens was named offensive player of the week and Erika Schutt earned defensive player of the week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Audrey Dickens scored the game-winning goal at Marywood to keep St. Mary's College undefeated in conference play.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Erika Schutt

Position: Defense/Midfield
Hometown: Vestal, NY
High School: Vestal
Brief Outlook of Week: Erika Schutt started the week by making three defensive saves to hold No. 17 Salisbury to just two second-half goals and then Schutt was part of a defensive unit that held its fourth consecutive conference opponent scoreless, limiting Marywood to five shots (only one on target).

Weekly Honor Roll:
Lauren Jani (Gwynedd Mercy /Senior / Forward): Jani scored Gwynedd Mercy University's only goal of a 2-1 loss to Cabrini University and the second Griffin goal of a 2-0 win at Neumann University.
