Straub, Levase Named Field Hockey Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey players of the week on Monday afternoon as Marywood's Milana Straub earned offensive player of the week and Immaculata's Julia Levase grabbed the defensive honor.

Offensive Player of the Week:
Name: Milana Straub
School: Marywood University
Class: Freshman
Position: Forward
Hometown: Shickshinny, PA
High School: Northwest
Brief Outlook of Week: Straub led the Pacers to a pair of wins with four goals and an assist. The Shickshinny, Pa. native helped the Pacers to a 6-2 win over Elmira with a goal and an assist. Straub tallied a hat trick in a 10-0 victory against Bryn Athyn to close the week.

Defensive Player of the Week:

School: Immaculata University

Brief Outlook of Week: Julia Levase had an exceptional week for Immaculata field hockey as the freshman goalkeeper registered her first career victory and first career shutout in the Macs 1-0 victory over King’s on Saturday afternoon. Levase made five big saves on Saturday including a pair in the closing seconds of regulation to keep the potent Monarch offense, which entered play averaging four goals per game off the scoreboard throughout the afternoon. Levase also played well earlier in the week in a 2-1 setback at the hands of Moravian as she made six saves to keep Immaculata well within striking distance throughout the game.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Celina Kaufman (St. Mary's / Junior / Forward): Celina Kaufman recorded her second career hat trick on Wednesday in a 4-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan. Kaufman then fired in a team-best three shots, including two on target, in a 4-0 loss to Shenandoah.
