Field Hockey 9/20/2021 12:53:41 PM Lahr, Horn Named Field Hockey Players of the Week LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey players of the week on Monday afternoon as Marywood's Cydney Lahr earned offensive player of the week and St. Mary's Charlotte Horn grabbed the defensive honor. Offensive Player of the Week: Name: Cydney Lahr School: Marywood University Class: Sophomore Position: Forward Hometown: Herndon, PA High School: Line Mountain Brief Outlook of Week: Lahr had a hand in all three of Marywood's goals in a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Oneonta State. She finished with two goals and an assist to lead the Pacers to a 1-1 week. The Herndon, Pa. native scored both the game-trying, -winning goals in the second half. Lahr assisted a Sara Thomas goal to cap the win. Defensive Player of the Week: Name: Charlotte Horn School: St. Mary's College of Maryland Class: Freshman Position: Defense Hometown: Schnecksville, PA High School: Northwestern Lehigh Brief Outlook of Week: Charlotte Horn was part of a defensive unit which limited St. Mary's College's two opponents to a combined total of eight shots (five shots on goal) as the Seahawks posted a 1-1 week. Weekly Honor Roll: Lauren Vanderbraak (Immaculata / Sophomore / Midfield): On Thursday at Bryn Athyn, Vandenbraak provided assists on back-to-back first quarter goals before registering her third assist of the night midway through the second quarter to help engineer an impressive first half performance by the Mighty Macs. On Saturday afternoon, Vandenbraak gave the Macs a comfortable lead as she scored the second goal of the afternoon in the 21st minute to put Immaculata out in front with a 2-0 lead. Shenandoah. Julia Levase (Immaculata / Freshman / Goalie): On Thursday evening, Levase played the first 15 minutes of the Macs victory over Bryn Athyn, helping to keep the Lions off the scoreboard throughout the opening stanza. On Saturday morning against Lancaster Bible, Levase played the opening 51:22 and made a pair of saves to help Immaculata earn the 5-0 shutout victory and improve to 2-1 on the week.
