Genter, Christman Awarded Field Hockey Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey players of the week on Monday afternoon as Marywood's Angie Genter earned offensive player of the week while St. Mary's Kaley Christman grabbed the defensive honor.

Offensive Player of the Week:
Name: Angie Genter
School: Marywood University
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
High School: North Allegheny
Brief Outlook of Week: Genter tied the Marywood single-game points record in a 5-1 win over Delaware Valley. She tallied three goals and two assists, having a hand in all five Marywood goals. Genter becomes just the second student-athlete in program history to post eight points in one game.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Kaley Christman
School: St. Mary's College of Maryland
Class: Freshman
Position: Goalie
Hometown: Jefferson, MD
High School: Brunswick
Brief Outlook of Week: In her first two games and starts of the season, Kaley Christman posted her first solo shutout in a 2-0 win at Bridgewater. Christman then made a season-best two saves in a 3-1 loss at Roanoke.
