ARLINGTON, Va. -- CHAMPS! Marymount claims back-to-back AEC Championship titles after a thrilling final match against Neumann University. After an 11-1 season and a secured first seed position in the tournament, the Saints walk away with another conference tournament victory under their belt and await the NCAA tournament!
- Gracie Himmelman set the tone at the top with a 2-for-4 day, consistently putting pressure on the defense
- Haylee Carpenter added a double and a sac bunt, finishing 1-for-3 while helping move runners
- Haley Greer drove in a key run, going 1-for-4 with an RBI to contribute to the scoring
- Kaylee Atkins chipped in with a hit, finishing 1-for-3 and reaching base in the middle of the lineup
- Samantha Richtol recorded a 1-for-3 performance, adding depth to the offense
- Valeria Gutierrez De Oliveira went 1-for-3 with a hit from the lower half of the order
- Samantha Papp was held hitless but stayed active with balls in play across three at-bats
- Tara Corcoran and Mady Archer helped round out the lineup, contributing to situational play despite limited offensive output
- Bailey Demusz anchored the game in the circle, throwing a complete game (7.0 IP) while allowing just one run and striking out six to secure the win
- The game ended with a run scored by senior Tara Corcoran after Haley Greer claimed a base hit.
