Immaculata's Grillo and Gwynedd Mercy's Snyder Take Home Women's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly award winners on Monday, with Immaculata's Abby Grillo being named Track Athlete of the Week and Gwynedd Mercy’s Kaitlyn Snyder being named Field Athlete of the Week.

Track Athlete of the Week: Abby Grillo
School: Immaculata
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Wilmington, Del.
High School: Padua Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: Grillo turned in a standout performance at the King’s College Monarch Open, capturing the 400-meter title with a program-record time of 58.75 while also placing third in the 200 meters with a personal-best mark of 27.09.

Field Athlete of the Week: Kaitlyn Snyder
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Graduate
Hometown: Elizabethtown, Pa.
High School: Elizabethtown Area
Brief Outlook of Week: Snyder threw the Javelin for a second-place distance of 33.58 meters and earned Gwynedd Mercy eight points toward their final total.
 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Ava Ezzie, Gwynedd Mercy: Ezzie placed 4th (1:01.94) in the 400-Meter at Elizabethtown College's Blue Jay Tune-Up. She also contributed to the Red and Gold's second-place 4x100-Meter Relay (53.54).

Maggie Friend, Immaculata: Friend delivered strong results in every event she competed in at the King's College Monarch Open, highlighted by a 2nd-place finish in the javelin (26.67m) and a 4th-place personal best in shot put (8.73m). Maggie also contributed valuable team points with a 5th-place finish in the hammer throw (29.32m) and a 6th-place finish in the discus (24.55m).

Alli Griscavage, Marywood: Griscavage finished in fourth place in the discus during a rainy King's meet. She hit a distance of 87 feet, 1 inch (26.55m). Griscavage was also seventh in the hammer with a throw of 85 feet (25.9m) and eighth in the javelin with a throw of 60 feet, 1 inch (18.32m)

Carly Walters, Marywood: Walters finished in second place in the 800 at a rainy meet hosted by King's. She ran a time of 2:26.45. Her time ranks fourth in the Atlantic East. 

Nacheca Joseph, Saint Elizabeth: Joseph was able to secure a Top 5 finish at the Monarch Open, crossing with a 14.06 in the 100m earning 5th place. Joseph also placed 2nd in the Eagles' 4x100m relay.
