Marymount's Amerlinck and Gwynedd Mercy's Snyder Take Home Women's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly award winners on Monday, with Marymount’s Brier Amerlinck being named Track Athlete of the Week and Gwynedd Mercy’s Kaitlyn Snyder being named Field Athlete of the Week.

Track Athlete of the Week: Brier Amerlinck
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Hometown: East Amherst, N.Y.
High School: Williamsville North
Brief Outlook of Week: Amerlinck earned an impressive second place finish in the women's 1500 meter race with a time of 5:07.75 at the Eastern Shore Challenge this past weekend. 

Field Athlete of the Week: Kaitlyn Snyder
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Graduate
Hometown: Elizabethtown, Pa.
High School: Elizabethtown Area
Brief Outlook of Week: Snyder earned the Griffins 6 points toward their 6th-place finish (6th of 15, 17 points) at the Millersville University Invitational with her 3rd-place throw (38.04) in the Javelin. Her throw of 38.04 meters is a University record.
 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Fanta Dukuly, Gwynedd Mercy: Dukuly earned the Griffins 10 points toward their 6th-place finish (6th of 15, 17 points) at the Millersville University Invitational with her 3rd-place finish (12.78, 6 points) in the 100-Meter and her 4th-place finish (26.58, 4 points) in the 200-Meter.

Abby Grillo, Immaculata: Grillo captured first place in the 800 meters with a program-record time of 2:16.28. She also placed fourth in the 200 meters (27.93) and contributed to the 4x400-meter relay team, which finished fourth with a time of 4:19.52.

Maggie Friend, Immaculata: Friend placed 10th in the hammer throw with a program-record mark of 25.31 meters. Friend also earned a 7th-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 28.84 meters.

Esther Paz, Marymount: Paz claimed first place in the women's pole vault, vaulting a height of 2.90 meters.

Abby Megotz, Marywood: Megotz won the 400 hurdles at Misericordia. She completed the race in 1:15.6. 

Kalie Fernandez-Naughton, Marywood: Fernandez took first place in the long jump at Misericordia this weekend. She won with a distance of 16 feet, 7 ¾ inches (5.07m), recording the second-farthest jump in school history. She took third place in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 4 ¾ inches (9.87m). Both her long jump and triple jump were the top distances in the Atlantic East this season.

Kylie Joniec, Neumann: Joniec posted a strong distance of 32.26 at Widener on Saturday.

Hannah Kim, Pratt: Kim had a season-best throw of 10.38 meters to win the shot put at the Pratt Invitational on Saturday, also posting the second-best toss in the conference this season.
