HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly award winners on Monday, with Marymount’s Ilana Hawkins being named Track Athlete of the Week and Marywood’s Leah Zambetti being named Field Athlete of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Hawkins had a strong weekend of competition for the Saints. At the EMU Heritage Invitational, Hawkins placed first in the 100m dash with a time of 12.57, a new personal best and top of the Marymount program. On Sunday, at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell and against Division I opponents, Hawkins finished eighth in the 400m with a personal best time of 56.67, a top program time. She rounded out her weekend with a 25.41 outing in the 200m, continuing to hold her spot in the Marymount record book.
Field Athlete of the Week: Leah Zambetti
School: Marywood

Brief Outlook of Week: Zambetti took 20th place at Bucknell in the javelin. Facing mostly Division I and II competition, Zambetti hit a mark of 120 feet, 8 inches (36.78m). Her throw leads the Atlantic East Conference performance list by over 5 feet.

Fanta Dukuly, Gwynedd Mercy: Dukuly landed a fifth-place (5th, 12.72) finish in the 100-Meter and a sixth-place (6th, 26.53) in the 200-Meter
Kaitlyn Snyder, Gwynedd Mercy: Snyder headlined Gwynedd’s day with a 2nd-place javelin (34.67).
Maggie Friend, Immaculata: Friend turned in a strong all-around performance at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday, competing across multiple throwing events. She highlighted her day in the hammer throw, placing 10th while setting an IU program record with a mark of 25.63 meters (84'1").In the shot put, Friend earned 7th place with a throw of 8.12 meters (26'7.75"). She also delivered a personal best in the discus, finishing 9th with a throw of 28.95 meters (95'0"). In the javelin, she added another 9th-place finish, recording a throw of 28.95 meters (95'0") to round out an impressive and well-rounded day of competition.
Abby Grillo, Immaculata: Grillo delivered an outstanding performance at the DeSales University Invitational, achieving multiple top finishes and setting program records for IU.She placed 1st in the 400 meters with a program-record time of 58.79, and followed that with a 2nd-place finish in the 800 meters, also setting a program record at 2:16.33. Grillo capped off her impressive day by contributing to the 4×400 meter relay team, which secured 2nd place with a time of 4:17.89.
Paige Redman, Marywood: Redman took first place in the 10K at West Chester. She finished the race in 42:11.4 to beat the field by nine minutes. Redman beat her PR by 2 minutes, 18 seconds. Her time leads the Atlantic East performance list by four minutes, and it is the fourth-best run in school history. Earlier in the month, Redman was part of a 4x800 team with Caroline Walters, Janelle Sanabria and Camilla Zimmerman that broke an 11-year old school record by 27 seconds. They finished second at York with a time of 10:30.82.
Kyleigh Joniec, Neumann: Joniec threw javelin for a distance of 27.95 meters to finish 3rd among DIII competitors at the Delaware Invite.
Hannah Kim, Pratt: Junior Hannah Kim had a busy day in the throwing events against a formidable field of mostly D1 and D2 athletes at Rutgers Relays on Saturday. Kim's day was highlighted by a toss of 10.30 meters in the shot put, the second-best mark in the league this season. She also turned in strong performances in the discus with a mark of 33.22 meters and the javelin with a throw of 27.17 meters.
