St. Mary’s City, Md. - After a strong showing from the Seahawks, Marywood still maintains a two point lead following Friday night finals.

Marymount took home gold and silver in the opening 500 freestyle. Saints freshman Annabelle Tarrant secured the top spot, touching the wall in 5:07.76. She was followed by teammate Lillian Crawley who clocked a 5:19.11. Taking the final podium spot was St. Mary’s senior Kai Vera Judge, whose 5:25.55 earned her bronze by roughly 5.5 seconds.

Kelsie Miller of St. Mary’s clocked a 2:08.31 in the 200 IM, earning gold. Miller was followed by a duo of Saints, giving Marymount the second and third podium spots. Addison Muhlenkamp touched the wall in 2:16.36, with Miah Lopez posted a 2:19.86.

In the 50 free, Emerson Young set a new conference and meet record. The Seahawk made waves by posting a 23.94, good for gold. Ilana Hawkins of Marymount earned silver via a time of 24.62, with Ashley Batejan of Immaculata posting a 25.44 for the final spot on the podium.

The 200 freestyle relay finished things out on Friday night, seeing Marymount take home gold after touching the wall in 1:38.38, once again a new meet and conference record. St. Mary’s landed second on the podium with a time of 1:40.18. Rounding out the trio of programs was Marywood, clocking a time of 1:45.31.

Day three of the championships is a loaded one, beginning with prelims at 10am on Saturday, February 14th, followed by finals at 5:30 pm. Kicking off the day will be the 400 IM, followed by the 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 100 backstroke before the night is closed out with the 400 medley relay.
