HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Volleyball weekly award winners on Monday, with Immaculata's Madi Kyle being named Player of the Week and Marymount's Renae Rohrer being named Defensive Player of the Week.
Player of the Week: Madi Kyle
School: Immaculata
Class: Freshman
Position: Outside Hitter
Hometown: Fairmont, W.V.
High School: Fairmont
Brief Outlook of Week: Kyle led the Mighty Macs offensively during a two-match week, totaling 23 kills, 12 digs and two service aces. She finished the week averaging 3.57 points per set, 3.29 kills per set, and 1.71 digs per set as the Mighty Macs went 1-1 on the week.
Specialty Player of the Week: Renae Rohrer
School: Marymount
Class: Senior
Position: Defensive Specialist/ Libero
Hometown: Lebanon, Pa.
High School: New Covenant Christian
Brief Outlook of Week: Rohrer continued her dominance on the defensive front for the Saints in their 3-0 week, picking up wins over Gallaudet, Eastern Mennonite, and Eastern. The senior libero averaged 6.64 digs per set, racking up a total of 73 through the week of action, while adding 1.27 assists per set. She had a week-high 32 digs against Eastern Mennonite.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kate Etter: Gwynedd Mercy: Etter was consistent with at least nine points in each of three matches. She averaged 2.55 digs per set and 2.50 points per set.
Macie Ferla, Gwynedd Mercy: Ferla totaled a kill, 42 assists, five aces, and 10 digs in a three-match week, averaging 3.82 assists per set.
Adriana Ventura, Immaculata: Ventura anchored the Mighty Macs' defensive effort during the week, recording 30 digs and four service aces across two matches. She averaged 4.29 digs per set.
Sabrina Schoeberlein, Marymount: Across Marymount's 3-0 week, Sabrina Schoeberlein remained a steady threat for the Saints. Knocking 2.45 kills per set, 27 total, and putting up 1.91 digs per set, 21 total, the junior overaged 2.59 points per set through the week of action. She added 2.0 total blocks.
Colleen Russell, Pratt: Russell led the Pratt offense during a two-match stretch at Bard on Saturday. Russell totaled 18 kills, 11 digs, one solo block, and two block assists across seven sets. She averaged 2.86 points per set, 2.57 points per set, and 1.57 digs per set.
Dadlyna Louis, Saint Elizabeth: Louis led Saint Elizabeth offensively against FDU-Florham, recording a team-high four kills while hitting .214 with just one attack error. Louis also added three service aces and one solo block, finishing with a team-best 8.0 points, averaging 2.67 points per set.
