Luke Schwenk (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and sophomore
Kelsie Miller (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) were two of the 526 Division III swimmers selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on March 19-22 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
For the second straight season, St. Mary's College of Maryland will be represented by two swimmers at the NCAA Championships. This will be Schwenk's third consecutive appearance while Miller is now two-for-two during her time as a Seahawk.
Schwenk qualified for the NCAAs in the 50- and 100-freestyle events as well as the 100-backstroke while Miller is headed back to Greensboro after achieving a qualifying standard in the 100-butterfly.
Schwenk, a four-time All-American, gained a pair of First Team All-America honors last season after taking fifth in the 50-freestyle and seventh in the 100-backstroke. As a sophomore, the 6-2 captain finished 14th in the 50-freestyle and 15th in the 100-freestyle for two Second Team All-America awards.
According to the unofficial psych sheet, Schwenk is seeded first in the 50-freestyle with an NCAA B standard of 19.64 while sitting seventh in both the 100-backstroke (B standard of 47.95) and the 100-freestyle (B standard of 43.72).
Miller owns the 17th-fastest time in the 100-butterfly with a B standard of 55.22. As an NCAA qualifier, she can compete in two other events of her choice – the 200-butterfly (39th-fastest time) and the 100-freestyle (53rd-fastest time).
The 50-freestyle will take place Wednesday, March 19, while the 100-butterfly will be raced Thursday, March 20. The 200-butterfly and the 100-backstroke events will be contested Friday, March 21, while the 100-freestyle will occur on the last day of the NCAA Championships.
