Men's Swimming Major Awards and All-Conference Announced

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the 2025 Men's Swimming Major Award Winners and All-Conference teams on Tuesday as St. Mary's College of Maryland and Marymount University earned major awards. 

This year's swimmer of the year Luke Schwenk set new meet records in the 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle, and 100-yard freestyle. He claimed first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 19.64, beating his time from last year with the second best time in the country in DIII this season. In the 100-yard backstroke, he finished at 48.23, and in the 100-yard freestyle, he posted a time of 43.72, also improving from the previous year and ranking fifth in the country in the 100-yard freestyle. All three times are NCAA B cut times with the 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle posting conference records as well. 

Additionally, Schwenk teamed up with his teammates in the 200-yard medley relay, where they earned a silver medal (1:33.10), and in the 400-yard medley relay, where they again took silver (3:30.20).

This year's rookie of the year Harrison Greenwald took gold in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:41.20 which also set the meet and conference record. First in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:14.77, assisted his team to Gold in the 800-yard Freestyle relay (7:19.09) and silver in the 400-yard medley relay (3:30.22).  

Marymount was awarded Coaching Staff of the Year; Marymount was voted on by the coaches of the conference. Marymount is led by Chris Natoli and assisted by Jake Ball and Emily Warren. 

Finally, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for men's swimming, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, is Jair Jackson from St. Mary’s. Jackson maintains a 3.969 while majoring in biochemistry. The junior contributed a fourth place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, fifth place in the 100-yard butterfly, and seventh place finish in the 200-yard individual medley for the conference runner-up finishing Seahawks.
