ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – Marymount continued its lead on the men’s side in the 2025 Atlantic East Swimming Championships on Saturday, as the Saints have 604 points after Day Three of the Championship.
Host Saint Mary’s College of Maryland is second at 553, while Marywood University is third with 212 points. Immaculata University is fourth at 183 points with Gallaudet fifth at 148 points.
In the night’s first event, St. Mary’s Harrison Greenwald was first in the 400 yard IM at 4:14.77, while Marymount’s Garrett Peck was second at 4:19.85. Immaculata’s Michael DeMattei was third at 4:34.86.
In the 100 butterfly, Marymount’s Carsten Hicks won the event at 49.98 with teammate Daniel Caldwell taking second at 51.02. Saint Gavin Keane was third at 51.96.
In the 200 free, Marymount’s Ryan Faherty was first at 1:44.93 with fellow swimmer Garrett Watson second at 1:47.17. Seth Reinsel completed the 1-2-3 sweep with a mark of 1:47.73.
In the 100 breast, Evan Pak from Marymount won the event at 57.57, with St. Mary’s Daniel Madigan in second at 58.65 and Reinsel third at 1:00.98.
In the 100 back, St. Mary’s Luke Schwenk was first at 48.23, setting a new meet record. Luke Claudy from Marymount was second at 51.23, followed by teammate Alex Hain in third at 53.33.
Marymount won the final event of the night, capturing the 400 medley relay at 3:25.02 with a new meet and conference record. The team of Hain, Pak, Hicks and Claudy set a new meet and conference record.
