HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s JP Phillip was named Player of the Week and Marywood’s Drew Smith was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: JP Phillip
School: Neumann
Class: Freshman
Position: Forward
Hometown: Brampton, Ontario
High School: Heart Lake Secondary
Brief Outlook of Week: Phillip scored a pair of goals in a 2-0 conference week for Neumann. On Wednesday, the Knights found a 4-1 win over Immaculata as Phillip broke the 1-1 tie with the eventual game-winning goal in the 61st minute. He followed with a goal in the 64th minute to put the Knights up 4-0 in an eventual 4-1 win over Saint Elizabeth over the weekend, as Neuman clinched the No. 1 seed for postseason play.  

Defensive Player of the Week: Drew Smith
School: Marywood
Class: Junior
Position: Defensive Midfielder
Hometown: Archbald, Pa.
High School: Holy Cross
Brief Outlook of Week: Smith helped the Marywood defense hold opponents to just .5 points per game in a pair of Atlantic East victories. The junior held down the midfield and played a strong role in the Pacer’s defense, posting one clean sheet on the week. Additionally, he scored a penalty kick goal in Marywood's 8-1 victory over Gwynedd Mercy and headed a cross into the back of the net against Pratt for Marywood's fifth-straight win.

Colin Stocklin, Gwynedd Mercy: Stocklin scored the game-winner of the Griffins' 3-1 AEC victory over Immaculata in the 52nd minute.
