HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, as Marywood’s Donnie Powell was named Player of the Week and Saint Elizabeth’s Andrew Gonzalez was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Donnie Powell
School: Marywood
Class: Sophomore
Position: Midfielder
Hometown: Glen Burnie, Md.
High School: Glen Burnie
Brief Outlook of Week: Powell scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win over Marymount on Saturday. With the match tied at 1-1 in the 71st minute, the Glen Burnie, Md., native ripped a shot into the back of the net off the back of a quick counter-attack. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Andrew Gonzalez
School: Saint Elizabeth
Class: Sophomore
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Elizabeth, N.J.
High School: Elizabeth
Brief Outlook of Week: Gonzalez was solid once again for the Eagles making seven saves on the week. The sophomore came in late for the Eagles against Marymount, posting six saves and allowing no goals. He then recorded one save in a 0-0 draw, adding a shutout to his tally, against Centenary.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Andrew Roberto, Gwynedd Mercy: Roberto posted yet another double-digit performance, making 11 saves in a 2-0 loss to Neumann.

Jefferson Lopez Coreas, Marymount: Lopez Coreas notched a pair of goals in the Saints' 3-1 win over Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, including the game winner, which came in the 25th minute.

Drew Smith, Marywood: Smith helped the Pacers defense hold Marymount to just one goal in a 3-1 victory. The Archbald, Pa., native came up big in the 52nd minute as he closed down on an open goal attempt, serving as the last line of defense in what was Marywood's first-ever win over the Saints.
