HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, with Centenary’s Shane Gambarony being named Player of the Week and Pratt’s Alex Abbruzzese being named Defensive Player of the Week .

Player of the Week: Shane Gambarony
School: Centenary
Class: Freshman
Position: Froward
Hometown: Toms River, N.J.
High School: Toms River South
Brief Outlook of Week: Gambarony scored a hat trick, and dished out two assists, in the Cyclones 7-1 victory over York. On the week, the freshman recorded 185 minutes played, with six shots on goal. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Alex Abbruzzese
School: Pratt
Class: Junior
Position: Defender
Hometown: Staten Island, N.Y
High School: Monsignor Farrell
Brief Outlook of Week: Abbruzzese delivered the game-winning goal in the 65th minute, lifting Pratt to a 1-0 road victory over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. Coming off the bench, he broke a scoreless deadlock in the second half, heading in a feed from Lawton Tucker-Ortega, off a free kick, for the first goal of his collegiate career. 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Gunnar Christensen, Gwynedd Mercy: Christensen totaled three points in a 4-3 loss at FDU-Florham (Sept. 29) with a goal (1-0, 17:43) and an assist (2-2, 70:25). He finished the week with three of his five shots on-goal.

Micah Volger, Marymount: Vogler netted a pair of goals, one in each match, across the week for the Saints. The sophomore forward knocked in the game winner against Regent University on Wednesday, before following it with a first half goal at Christopher Newport on Saturday.

Jonathan Ramirez-Delgado, Saint Elizabeth: Ramirez-Delgado made seven saves in a full 90-minute performance in goal for Saint Elizabeth during its 2-2 draw against Penn State Scranton. Ramirez-Delgado was especially strong in the opening half, recording six saves to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime.

Carlos Saldana, Saint Elizabeth: Saldana delivered a clutch performance for Saint Elizabeth in its 2-2 draw against Penn State Scranton. Saldana scored the game-tying goal in the 89th minute, helping the Eagles secure the draw.
