Immaculata's Murray and Slick Sweep Women's Lacrosse Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on April 2nd. Immaculata’s Jacki Murray repeats as Player of the Week, while teammate Amelia Slick is named Defensive player of the Week.

Player of the Week:
Name: Jacki Murray
School: Immaculata
Class: Junior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: Villa Maria Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: Murray scored seven goals including the game-winning goal in overtime in Immaculata’s conference opening win over Gwynedd Mercy on April 1st. Murray caused a turnover off the draw control and collected the groundball to initiate the overtime goal just 34 seconds into the frame.

Defensive Player of the Week:

Brief Outlook of Week: Slick was key to the overtime victory to open conference play against Gwynedd Mercy. The first year tallied 11 saves, eight groundballs and two caused turnovers to help lead the Mighty Macs.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Catriona Corrigan (Gr., Goalkeeper, Neumann): Corrigan made 20 saves in a 1-1 week as Neumann wrapped up non-conference action. In a 16-8 loss to Swarthmore the graduate student made 11 saves. She followed that up with a nine save 15-6 win at Bryn Athyn to wrap up the non-conference schedule 8-2.

Olivia Little (Sr., Attack, Cabrini): 
Little scored four goals against Rowan on March 29th. She added an assist for a total of five points while tallying four groundballs, three caused turnovers, and four draw controls in the contest. The senior then scored six goals and three assists against George Fox on March 30th. In the first AEC contest Little tallied four points on two goals and two assists. On the week she finished with 18 points on 12 goals and six assists.
