LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Softball Players of the Week for weeks games through Sunday, March 26th. Ashdon Clark of Marywood was named Player of the Week, while teammate Marissa Gregory earned pitcher of the week honors.

Brief Outlook of Week: Clark led Marywood to a 5-1 week with a .533 batting averaged and 1.783 OPS. In six games, she contributed an OBP of .650 and a slugging percentage of .933. Clark finished 8-of-15 with six runs, two doubles and eight RBIs. In aa doubleheader sweep of Cazenovia, Clark went a perfect 6-for-6 with three runs, three RBIs, three doubles, and a walk. She came through with a three-run home run to take an early lead to split the opening series with Marymount.

Brief Outlook of Week: Gregory went 4-0 with a .7 ERA and an .9 WHIP in as many appearances this week. She struck out 22 batters in 20 innings pitched. Gregory struck out nine in a complete game win over Clarks Summit. She earned both Pacers’ victories against Cazenovia, following a one-hitter with a relief outing that enabled the Pacers to comeback to beat the Wildcats. In her Atlantic East debut, she allowed one earned run and just five hits to defeat Marymount.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kaylynn Johnson (3B, Marymount): Johnson finished aa successful week by going 9-of-18 from the plate with two home runs and six batted in. Her performance helped the Saints open conference play with a 3-1 mark against the top two teams in the preseason poll.
Madison Passanant (So., DP, Centenary): Passanante batted 5-for-8 this past week. The sophomore recorded two extra base hits, and provided the team with four RBIs.
