LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Softball Players of the Week for weeks games through Sunday, March 19th. Kaylynn Johnson of Marymount was named Player of the Week, while Emma Mercadante of Immaculata earned pitcher of the week honors..

Brief Outlook of Week: Johnson continued her impressive start to the season by going 7-for14 at the plate over four games last week. She had one home run, one double, and seven RBIs while scoring three runs including the game-winning run in a 9-8 thriller over Bridgewater (Va.).

School: Immaculata
Class: Sophomore
Position: Pitcher
Hometown: Midland Park, N.J.
High School: Midland Park
Brief Outlook of Week: Mercandante threw the first no-hitter in Immaculata program history on March 16th in the teams win against Delaware Valley. The sophomore struck out five allowing zero walks in in the complete game outing. The only base runners reached on fielding errors.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Maggie Lenahan (OF, Centenary): Lenahan batted .429 this past week, 9-for21 from the plate. The outfielder had one triple, three runs batted in and five runs scored for the Cyclones.
Jess Oldham (Jr., SS, Immaculata): Oldham hit .629 for the week going 9-for13 with four runs scored, three RBIs and a double as the team went 3-1 sweeping aa doubleheader from Delaware Valley and splitting a doubleheader with Centenary. The junior went 4-for-5 against Delaware Valley and 5-for-8 against Centenary.
Ashlynne Scardino (Jr., Pitcher, Neumann): Scardino pitched 8.1 innings in two appearances and was 1-1 for the Knights. Over the eight innings, the junior allowed one run on six hits and struck out four for a 0.84 ERA. Her win was a 7.0 complete game shutout in a 5-0 win over Penn State Abington
