Scibello, Reed Sweep Men's Lacrosse Weekly Accolades

Lancaster, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Lacrosse weekly honors on Tuesday, as Marywood's John Scibello was named Offensive Player of the Week while Connor Reed earned Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Scibello scored 16 points to lead the Pacers to a 1-1 mark to start the season. The freshman attack broke Marywood's single-game points record in his first collegiate appearance. He posted a 12-point effort with seven goals and five assists in a win over Rosemont. Scibello had four goals in a loss to crosstown Scranton. In both games, Scibello factored in defensively with five ground balls.

Brief Outlook of Week: Reed made 44 total saves in a pair of games for the Pacers. He broke a single-game record with 29 saves in a loss to Scranton, adding nine ground balls for good measure. Reed made 15 stops in a 13-9 win over Rosemont. For the week, he had a .603 save percentage.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Clark Akers (Marymount/Senior/Attack): Akers carried the Saints offense in an impressive 19-3 win over Juniata College in the season opener. Akers tallied eight points on five goals and three assists as the Saints crushed the Eagles. The Senior had a 75% shot-on-goal percentage and added one caused turnover to his performance.

Dylan Staley (Marymount/Sophomore/Attack): Staley had a workman-like performance in the midfield for Marymount in its season-opening 19-3 win over Juniata. The sophomore scooped up a game-high 10 ground balls and had a stellar 19-for-22 showing at the faceoff X.
