Marywood men, Marymount women lead after Day One of AEC Track and Field Championship

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - After Day One of the 2025 Atlantic East Track and Field Championships, Marywood leads the men’s competition while Marymount leads the women’s competition. 

On the men’s side, Marywood has 101 points followed by Marymount in second with 57 points. 

Neumann’s Jody Johnson won the 3000 steeple with a time of 10:55.52, while Joseph Cardillo from Marywood won the 10,000 meter run at 36:47.06. In the Pole Vault, Matt Edwards from Gwynedd Mercy won the event at 9-10. 

Marywood’s Will Kalinich won the javelin at 155-10, while Gwynedd Mercy’s Tyson Scheitrum won the hammer at 142-2. 

Marymount’s Samuel Struggs won the triple jump at 44-3.50. 

For the women, Marymount has 41 points with Marywood in second at 34. 

Milana Straub from Marywood won the 3000 steeple at 12:52.57. Esther Paz from Marymount won the Pole Vault at 9-2.25. Marywood’s Leah Zambetti won the javelin at 113-9. 

Finally, Pratt’s Kaeden Green won the triple jump at 36-0.75.
