Marymount Leads the Commissioner Cup Standings After the Winter

LANCASTER, Pa. – At the end of the 2024-25 winter seasons, Marymount leads the way in the men’s and women’s race for the Atlantic East Commissioner Cup. This gives the Saints the top spot in the overall scores for the Mike Drass Trophy.

The Mike Drass Trophy is named after the late Mike Drass, Former Athletic Director and Football Coach for Wesley College. Drass was the AD for the Wolverines from May 2003 until his passing in May 2018. He also coached one of the most successful DIII football programs for 26 seasons. He was an instrumental piece to the seven founding members of the Atlantic East Conference.

Marymount has the current lead for the Mike Drass Trophy with a total of 78 points after the fall and winter seasons. In second place is Marywood with 66 points. The Saints took home one conference title this winter in men’s swimming. Marymount finished runner up in women’s swimming and men’s basketball. Marywood earned playoff appearances in both men’s and women’s basketball, finished third in women’s swimming and fourth in men’s swimming. 

On the men’s side of the Commissioner Cup, Marymount sits in first with 35 points. There is a tie for second between Marywood and Neumann. The Pacers and Knights each have 24 points. Neumann took home the conference title in men’s basketball. In fourth place is Immaculata with 18 points. The Mighty Macs finished third at the men’s swimming championship.

The women’s side has a tight race. Marymount sits in first with 43 points while Marywood is close behind with 42 points. Immaculata takes third with 38 points. The Mighty Macs earned the conference title in women’s basketball and finished fourth at the women’s swimming championship. Neumann is close behind in the standings in fourth place with 27 points. The Knights finished as runner up in the women’s basketball tournament.
