LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s AJ Nardo and Immaculata’s Jordan Silvestri won Player and Pitcher of the Week honors respectively.
Player of the Week:
Name: AJ Nardo
School: Neumann University

Hometown: Elkton, Md.
High School: Carvel Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: AJ Nardo hit .429 (6-for14) in four games in a 3-1 week for Neumann. The junior had one double, walked three times, scored three runs and knocked in three. He also stole two bases. In a 6-5 win over Eastern to start the week, Nardo went 3-for-3 at the plate and knocked in two runs. In a doubleheader sweep against Vermont State Castleton, the junior as 3-for-6, scored three runs and knocked in one in 3-1 and 5-2 wins.
Pitcher of the Week:
Name: Jordan Silvestri
School: Immaculata University
Class: Senior
Hometown: Millville, N.J.
High School: CCTEC
Brief Outlook of Week: Jordan Silvestri pitched a complete game three-hit shutout to earn the win as Immaculata defeated Ohio Northern 4-0 on Saturday in their last game at the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Florida. Silvestri did not issue any walks, and had five strikeouts.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Nick Payne (Sr., Centenary): Nick had 8 hits in a 3-win week for the cyclones. He totaled 5 doubles, 4 Rbi's, and 4 stolen bases.
Jimmy Decarlo (Jr., Gwynedd Mercy): DeCarlo was one of the hottest Griffins during the spring trip to RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Over the final four games, he went 8-for-19 with a walk, 4 runs, and 7 RBI. He was 3-for-5 with 3 runs and 2 RBI in a 19-8 (7) win over Bethany College, 1-for-5 with 2 RBI versus Albertus Magnus, 2-for-4 with a walk, a run, and an RBI against Anna Maria College, and 2-for-5 with 2 RBI in an extra-inning loss to Fredonia State.
Tristan Gatachalain (So., Marywood): Gatchalain batted .423 with six runs and seven RBIs during the Pacers' Florida trip. In seven games, Gatchalain went 11 for 26 with two doubles, two triples and a 1.17 OPS. He went 3 for 5 in a loss to Westfield State. Gatchalain drove in three runs in a victory over Thiel.
Owen Reilly (So., Marywood): Reilly had a 1.23 ERA in four relief appearances during the Pacers' seven games in Florida. In 7 ? innings, Reilly allowed just a .167 opponents batting average to earn a 1-1 record with one save. Reilly was instrumental in both of the Pacers' wins in the Sunshine State. With the tying run at the plate, Reilly retired the final out to capture the save against Thiel. He shut down Wabash for four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, to earn the victory.
Jay Wandell (Fy., Marymount): Jay Wandell threw another gem to move to 3-0 this year on the mound. Throwing 6.0 shutout innings in Thursday's win over Husson, the righty struck out five while allowing just four hits. He lowered his ERA on the season to 2.08.
Chase Hamilton (Fr., Gwynedd Mercy): Hamilton made two solid relief appearances and held Gwynedd Mercy University's opponents to just two hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.0 innings. He threw 1.1 scoreless innings in a 19-8 (7) win over Bethany College, allowing just a hit and a walk. In an extended appearance versus Anna Maria College, Hamilton struck out five Cats while allowing only a hit and two walks over 3.2 innings.
Jake Keenan (Sr., Centenary): Jake went 6 innings only allowing 2 hits with 7 strikeouts and no earned runs in his one outing of the week for the Cyclones. The cyclones went 3-2 this week with Jake having gotten the win on the mound.
