Neumann's Etienne, Gwynedd Mercy's Stewart garner Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s Bryan Etienne and Gwynedd Mercy’s Aquil Stewart won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Bryan Etienne
School: Neumann University
Class: Junior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Coral Springs, Fla.    
High School: Coral Glades
Brief Outlook of Week: Bryan Etienne scored 21 points in a 92-81 win at Marywood. The junior went 7-for-8 from the line and added five rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Aquil Stewart
School: Gwynedd Mercy University
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa.     
High School: Girard College
Brief Outlook of Week: Stewart stole the ball six times in both of Gwynedd Mercy University's AEC wins over Pratt Institute. He paired his first six with 23 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 73-60 road win over the Cannoneers. Just four days later, he paired his second six with 20 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in a 90-73 home win.
 
Weekly Honor Roll:
Isaac Harris (Jr., Marymount): In the Saints decisive 98-64 win over Immaculata on Saturday, junior Isaac Harris dropped 19 points on 7-9 shooting from the floor, 3-4 from three-point range. The guard added three rebounds, three assists, and a steal to his credit.
 
Mike Marable (Sr., Gwynedd Mercy): Marable directed the Griffins to a pair of AEC wins over Pratt Institute with 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game in a home-and-home with the Cannoneers. On the Road, Marable totaled 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in a 79-60 win. Then at home, he was honored in a pregame Senior Day ceremony before recording 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in a 90-73 triumph.
 
Mandson Seapoe (So., Immaculata): Mandon Seapoe scored 16 points, shooting 3-4 from three-point range, with two rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in Immaculata's game vs Marymount on Saturday.
 
Brendan Franko (Sr., Marywood): Franko averaged 19.5 points per game to lead the Pacers to a 1-1 week in conference play. He finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in a key victory over Centenary. Franko scored 19 points in a loss to Neumann.
 
Thomas Graetz (Fy., Pratt): Thomas Graetz continued his strong play as the rookie lead the team in scoring averaging 15.5 points with 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals over a home-and-home set with Gwynedd Mercy last week.
 
Naire Preston (So., Centenary): Sophomore guard, Naire Preston, was dominant for the Cyclones on the defensive end. Preston wrapped up the contest against Marywood with three blocks, one steal, and three rebounds.
 
Muhsin Muhammad (Fy., Marymount): Helping the Saints keep Immaculata at bay, first-year guard Muhsin Muhammad pulled down five rebounds alongside a pair of blocks on Saturday. He dropped 13 points in the big win inside of Converse Family Fieldhouse.
 
Michel Loftin (So., Marywood): Loftin tallied five steals and 11 rebounds to lead the Pacers defensively this week. In a victory over the Cyclones, he added seven rebounds and a pair of steals off the bench. Loftin collected three steals in a loss to the Knights to complement a 12-point effort.
 
Donte Dupriest (Jr., Neumann): Donte Dupriest scored 30 points and added 21 rebounds in a 92-81 win at Marywood in Neumann’s lone game of the week. In 38 minutes, the junior grabbed nine offensive rebounds and 12 defensive and went shot 10-for-11 from the line.
