LANCASTER, Pa. – Marymount wins first Atlantic East Title in the two day event at Golden Oaks Golf Course.
The Saints were led by third place finisher Chase Manion who finished with a two round total of 161 (+17). Manion was named Atlantic East Rookie of the Year for his two day contribution. Teammate Roger Sauvage joined him on the Atlantic East First Team with a fourth place finish at 162 (+18). Saints Cameren Dawkins-Jones and Jonas Zajicek each earned Second Team Recognition for a team total score of 652. The Saints beat out the 2023 Champion Cabrini squad by just two strokes.
Cabrini was lead by the back-to-back Atlantic East Player of the Year Liam Caspar who carded a two day score of 148 (+4). Cavalier teammate Mitch Walz shot a 167 (+23) for Atlantic East Second Team honors. The Cavaliers finished with the best round total for day two of 322.
Marywood finished in third and were led by Paul Appolt who finished second for First Team All Conference recognition with a two day score of 157. Joining him with All Conference honors was teammate Colin Virkitis (5th, 164). Neumann finished fourth and also added two All Conference members with top finisher Chris Prazych (5th, 164), and Max Mila (8th, 167).
Coaching Staff of the Year honors went to Marymount, who is led by Daniel Neben.
The Atlantic East Elite 20 Award is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the final site of the championship from the top two teams. This year's winner was Jackson Newton of Marymount.
