Release thanks to Marywood Athletics

Scranton, Pa. – Making its fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament, Atlantic East Conference Champion Marywood University will travel to crosstown No. 9 University of Scranton, the Landmark Conference Champions. 

Marywood (15-3-1) won the Atlantic East title to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. This is the Pacers' first appearance in the tournament since 2022 where they fell to Misericordia, 6-0. 

Scanton (17-1-2) is making its fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 22nd overall. The Royals have advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in two of their past five appearances.

Marywood will take on the Royals at 1 p.m. at Weiss Field in Scranton. The two teams face off against each other for the first time since 2023. University of Scranton defeated Marywood 4-1 on September 6th, 2023 at Pacers Turf Field.
 
The winner of the Scranton-Marywood game will face the winner of Wesleyan (CT) (13-3-1) and SUNY Brockport (15-1-2) on Sunday, November 17th. Sunday's winner will advance to the sweet 16.
