Marywood Picked to Repeat as Women's Soccer Champion

Haddonfield. N.J. – Marywood University picked to repeat as Atlantic East Women's Soccer Champion as voted on by the Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

The Pacers tallied 49 points and seven first place votes. Marywood returns five first-team All-AEC members and one second-team member from 2024 and will look to repeat as conference champions. 

Marymount collected the final first place vote for 41 total points. The Saints look to the reigning Atlantic East Rookie of the Year Nicole Alvarado to make an impact again this season.  Marymount has made the conference championship game each of the last two seasons, winning the title in 2023. 

Neumann lands third in the poll with 38 overall points. The Knights return three all conference selections in Cara Cimo, Julianna Hatt, and Anna Poehlmann from a season ago. 

The Mighty Macs of Immaculata finished with 32 points for fourth in the coaches’ poll. Second-team All-AEC goalkeeper Emily Guthier and Gabby Palladino return to the lineup for new head coach Seamus O'Connor. 

Fifth in the polls went to Gwynedd Mercy with 24 points, while Centenary finished with 17 for sixth. Closing out the polls was Pratt with 16 and Saint Elizabeth with seven points. 

Teams kick off regular season play on Friday, August 29th. Conference play begins on October 4th with Gwynedd Mercy hosting Saint Elizabeth, Immaculata hosting Centenary, Marymount hosting Pratt and Neumann hosting Marywood. 

The 2025 Atlantic East Tournament is set to begin with a first round game on Saturday, November 1st. The semifinals will take place on Tuesday, November 4th and the championship on Saturday, November 8th.
