Gwynedd's Headley and Marywood's Ewing Earn Field Hockey Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. -  The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey Players of the Week for weeks games through Monday, September 17th. Gwynedd’s Olivia Headley and Marywood’s Leah Ewing were named Player and Defensive Player of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Olivia Headley
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Langhorne, Pa.    
High School: Conwell-Egan Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Headley had both Griffin goals in a 3-2 overtime loss at Eastern University. The goals were the first two of her collegiate career.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Leah Ewing
School: Marywood
Class: First Year
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Drexel Hill, Pa.
High School: Bonner & Prendergast
Brief Outlook of Week: Ewing made 15 saves and had a 1.5 goals-against average in a 1-1 week for the Pacers. She stopped 10 shots in a 2-1 loss to Scranton. Ewing shooed away five shots in a 2-1 victory over Oneonta. She had a .833 save percentage for the week.  

Weekly Honor Roll:
Courtney Keith, (Jr., Goalkeeper, Cabrini) - Lahr scored two goals in a 1-1 week for the Pacers. She produced a game-winning goal when she broke away from a defender and found the back of the cage in a 2-1 victory over Oneonta. Lahr had a goal in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to crosstown Scranton.

Cydney Lahr, (Sr., Forward, Marywood) - Lahr scored two goals in a 1-1 week for the Pacers. She produced a game-winning goal when she broke away from a defender and found the back of the cage in a 2-1 victory over Oneonta. Lahr had a goal in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to crosstown Scranton.

Julia Levase, (Jr., Goalkeeper, Immaculata) - Made nine saves vs Stockton on September 11th, and made 10 saves vs Ramapo on September 13th. Posted a 0.760 save percentage during the week.

Morgan McClintock (Jr., Midfield, Cabrini) – In a tough overtime loss McClintock tallied aa a a goal and an assist to be a part of both Cavalier goals in the contest.
