Cabrini's Gallagher and Teammate McClintock Sweep Field Hockey Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. -  The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey Players of the Week for weeks games through Monday, September 10th. Cabrini’s Caroline Gallagher and  teammate Morgaan McClintock were named Player and Defensive Player of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Caroline Gallagher
School: Cabrini
Class: Senior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Cape May Courthouse, N.J.   
High School: Middle Township
Brief Outlook of Week: Gallagher had an incredible week for the Cavaliers with 11 total points. She was the goal scorer or assisted on eight of the nine team tallies in a 2-0 week for Cabrini. The senior finished with three goals, five assists, and one game winning goal.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Morgan McClintock
School: Cabrini
Class: Junior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Chadds Ford, Pa.
High School: Garnet Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: McClintock led the Cavaliers to a 2-0 week with victories over Widener and Delaware Valley. The midfielder was a strong force in the possession battle for both wins. She helped Cabrini keep opponents scoreless across two games.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Corrin Hasty, (Jr., Back, Marywood) -Hasty scored a career-best two goals in a 9-0 win over Wells. She matched her season-best goals total during the victory.

Madalyn Bonner, (Jr., Defender, Immaculata) – Bonner registered a defensive save midway through the fourth quarter to preserve Immaculata’s lead as they defeated King’s 1-0 on Saturday September 9th.
