Dalton, Custer Headline Women's Volleyball All-Conference Teams

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams and major awards on Tuesday morning, which are voted on by the conference coaching staff. Cabrini University, Centenary University and Neumann University grabbed major honors. 
 
Repeating as Player of the Year and Specialty Player of the Year were Hannah Dalton and Gina Custer respectively. The Cavalier duo led the team to a regular season title, a 6-0 conference record and 20-12 overall season record.
 
Dalton led the conference with 453 kills on the season averaging 4.27 kills per set. The outside hitter also contributed 39 assists, 35 blocks of which 12 were solo blocks and 290 digs for a 2.74 per set average.
 
Custer was a vital part of the Cavaliers defense tallying 606 digs to total 5.66 per set average. Custer led the conference in that category by more than 105 digs, and by over a dig per set average. In conference play only Custer averaged 5.81 digs per set.   
The graduate student added 84 assists and 36 service aces for the season.
 
Rookie of the Year honors went to Claudia Bournazel from Neumann University. The first year had a breakout season to help the Knights to a third-place finish in the standings. Bournazel tallied 393 digs on the season averaging 3.61 per set.

Centenary University was awarded Coaching Staff of the Year after posting a 10-14 overall record and 2-4 in conference record this season. Centenary added five overall wins to its season record and two conference wins from the 2021 campaign. The coaching staff is led by Lee Clowers and assisted by Braulio Rivera.
