Lancaster, Pa. – With the number of Covid cases on the decline, and state restrictions continuing to be lifted across the area, the Atlantic East Conference Presidents have agreed to adjust the conference-wide policy on spectators attending
outdoor sporting events hosted by an Atlantic East Conference institution.
Each institution will continue to adhere to their local, state and facility guidelines, which may be more restrictive than the updated Atlantic East spectator policy.
The modified policy allows
two spectators per team member and coaching staff while abiding with by all social distancing and masking guidelines. No spectators of visiting teams will be permitted to attend. The adjusted policy will go into effect immediately.
All invited fans to any outdoor sporting event hosted by an Atlantic East Conference institution are expected to adhere to the following:
· The spectator must be a team member/coaching staff's guest
· The spectator must be from the home team institution--visiting team fans are not permitted
· Each spectator must complete the appropriate institution's COVID-19 campus health check form
· Each spectator must present the successfully completed form at the entrance of each venue
· Each spectator must wear a mask at all times while on each Atlantic East Conference member's campus
· Each spectator must abide by all institutional COVID-19 guidelines while in attendance at a venue
· Each spectator must abide by all state and local COVID-19 guidelines while in attendance at a venue
Individual Atlantic East Conference institutions are responsible for how guests shall be identified and invited as well as how their admittance shall be administered. Each institution may require more stipulations than those outlined above by the conference. Failure to comply with institutional/Conference policies will lead to removal from the competition.
Finally, the current Atlantic East Conference indoor sport spectator policy shall remain in place as currently stated.
