HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Volleyball weekly award winners on Monday as Marymount’s Sabrina Schoeberlein and Marywood’s Andrea Fraga earned Player and Specialty Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Player of the Week: Sabrina Schoeberlein
School: Marymount
Class: Sophomore
Position: Outside Hitter
Hometown: Florrisant, Mo.
High School: Incarnate World
Brief Outlook of Week: En route to a pair of wins on Saturday for Marymount, Schoeberlein racked up 4.67 points per set to lead the way. She powered 32 total kills across the two matches, averaging 3.56 per set, with nine service aces, good for a 1.00 per set average. She added 10 total digs and two block assists to her line for the weekend in addition to her 42 points.
Specialty Player of the Week: Andrea Fraga
School: Marywood
Class: Freshman
Position: Defensive Specialist
Hometown: Laredo, Texas.
High School: United
Brief Outlook of Week: Fraga had a team-high 42 digs (5.25 per set) to lead the Pacers defensively in wins over Cedar Crest, Penn State Abington and Penn State Berks. Fraga had 33 digs against the Falcons, moving into a tie for fifth all-time in a four-set match. She added an eight-dig effort against Penn State Abington. The freshman also added two assists to her name against Cedar Crest.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Angelica Santini Bulerin, Immaculata: Bulerin was a key force for Immaculata this week, racking up 85 assists, 29 digs, and six service aces across three matches. She set a new career high with 35 assists in Thursday’s match at Moravian, adding 14 digs and three aces in a strong all-around performance. The freshman continued her momentum into Saturday, recording 21 assists, eight digs, and three service aces in a win over Keystone. She closed out the day with 29 assists and seven digs against King’s College.
Mia Esposito, Immaculata: Esposito delivered a standout performance across three matches for Immaculata, totaling 42 kills and seven blocks. She opened the week with 16 kills and two blocks in Thursday’s matchup against Moravian. Esposito followed that with seven kills and one block in Immaculata’s win over Keystone on Saturday. In the second match of the day, she posted a career-high 19 kills and added four total blocks in a strong showing against King’s College. Her 19-kill outing tied the Immaculata program record for kills in a three-set match.
Jessica Rothermel, Marymount: Rothermel facilitated the offense in the Saints' two wins over the weekend. Averaging 5.67 assists per set, totaling 51 through two matches, she added nine digs and a pair of block assists. In the five-set thrilling win over Hood on Saturday, she collected five kills
Genevieve Pollock, Marywood: Pollock powered Marywood to a 3-0 week with 37 kills (3.7 per set) and a .318 hitting percentage with three block assists. She broke the school record for a three-set match with 18 kills against Penn State Abington. In the win over the Lions, she registered a .350 hitting percentage and a team-high 19 points. Pollock had 10 kills and a .526 hitting percentage in a three-set win over Penn State Berks. She started the week with nine kills in a four-set victory at Cedar Crest.
Dadlyna Louis, Saint Elizabeth: It was a career week for Louis this week, as she would pick up 33 kills on the week, which one of them turned out to be her 100th kill this season. She would also pick up 5 solo blocks & 6 block assists on the week.
