Marywood's Page and Straub sweep Women's Track and Field Weekly Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Track and Field weekly award winners on Tuesday, as Marywood’s Rosalyn Page and Lany Straub won Field Athlete and Track Athlete of the Week honors respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Page recorded top Atlantic East marks in both the shot put and the discus at the Misericordia Twilight Invitational. Page was the runner-up with a discus heave of 122 feet, 2 inches (37.24m). She was fifth in the shot put with a distance of 37 feet, 5 ¾ inches (11.42m). Page ranks 10th regionally in both events.

Brief Outlook of Week: Straub won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:29.35 to lead Marywood to a fourth place finish at the Misericordia Twilight Invitational. She recorded an AARTFC qualifying time and leads the Atlantic East performance list by 1:40. Straub sits just outside of All-Region consideration in sixth place.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Truly Heft (Fr., Gwynedd Mercy):
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams continued their outdoor season with this weekend's competition at the Muhlenberg College Invitational. Freshman Truly Heft (East Greenville, Pa.) recorded a Top-10 finish in the women's Javelin (10th, 23.01), while also competing in the Hammer (24th, 24.43) and Shot Put (12th, 9.70).

Alli Siravo (Jr., Neumann): Alli Siravo not only eclipsed her own personal best in the Hammer Throw at Friday afternoon’s Delaware Invitational, she beat her own Neumann University program record with a throw of 30.43 meters. She also competed in the shot put with a throw of 9.62 meters, and the discus, throwing 20.94 meters.

Fanta Dukuly (Fr., Gwynedd Mercy): The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams continued their outdoor season with this weekend's competition at the Muhlenberg College Invitational. Freshman Fanta Dukuly (Philadelphia, Pa.) recorded Top-10 finishes in the 100-Meter and 200-Meter races with respective season's bests of 12.83 (4th) and 26.82 (2nd).

Giovanna Lisa (Jr,. Pratt): In Pratt's home invitational on Saturday, Giovanna Lisa won the 3000 meter in 12:05.98 and helped the 4x400 relay team to victory in 5:04.67.

Jordana Halpern (Fy., Pratt): Jordana Halpern turned in a sixth-place effort in the shot put with a toss of 8.88 meters in the Pratt Invitational.
