Marymount Records Back-to-Back Women's Cross Country Championships

MILTON, N.Y. - Marymount University took home the 2025 Atlantic East Women’s Cross Country Championship on Saturday, finishing with an impressive team score of 28.

It is the second consecutive year that the Saints have captured the title, improving on last year’s score by seven points.

Immaculata finished in second with 58 points, as Marywood landed third, tallying 72 points. Gwynedd Mercy was fourth with 101 points, followed by Pratt in fifth at 109 and Saint Elizabeth in sixth at 144.

Aubrey Donahue of Immaculata claimed her second individual crown with dominance, crossing the line in 25:03.4. Brier Amerlinck from Marymount was second with a time of 26:03.7, followed by teammate Abby Hughes in third at 26:38.1 as the Saints took three of the top five spots with Madeleine Pare finishing in 26:42.9, good for a fourth place finish.

Bella Auchenbach from Marywood was fifth with a time of 26:59.2, followed by a pair of freshmen in Melis Kavlicoglu from Pratt (27:13.5) in sixth and Gabi Titone from Marymount 27:38.0. in seventh. The top seven secured places on first team All-Conference.

Second-team All-Conference went to finishers eight through 14, beginning with Abigail Flannery from Gwynedd Mercy (27:32.6) in eighth. She was followed by Immaculata’s Jayla Gross (27:38.4), Marywood’s Janelle Sanabria (27:51.4), Immaculata’s Breanne Dymek (28:26.1), Gabrielle Weirsky of Marymount (28:51.0), Ava Ezzie of Gwynedd Mercy (29:01.1), and Immaculata’s Jacqueline Leone (29:03.4), all of whom took spots nine through 14 respectively.

The Atlantic East Elite Scholar Athlete Award went to Marymount’s Brier Amerlinck. The sophomore Biochemistry major finished in second and has a perfect 4.00 GPA.

Programs will now focus on getting ready for the NCAA Regional meets, which are in two weeks.
