Marymount's Finnegan named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Cross Country weekly award winners on Monday as Marymount’s Avery Finnegan won the Runner of the Week award.

Brief Outlook of Week: Junior Avery Finnegan led the Saints at the Blazer Blitz this past weekend, hosted by Hood College, with a fifth-place finish in the women's race, crossing the line in 16:03.1.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Bella Auchenbach (Jr., Marywood): Auchenbach finished in 11th overall at the Manhattan College Jaspar Fall Invitational. She completed the 6K course in 26:38.6. Auchenbach led the Pacers to a fourth place performance out of six teams.
 
McKenna Kerry (Fr., Centenary): The first year runner participated in the Osprey Open, posting a time of 26:56.97 in the 6k race. This time placed Kerry in 7th out of 83 runners.
 
Hannah Betchyk (Fy., Neumann): Hannah Betchyk led the Knights at the DSU Sting Invite. The first year finished 24th overall, 18th in scoring runners, out of 79 runners with a mix of all divisions. She shaved almost a minute off of her best time in the 5K, finishing with a time of 21:26.6.
 
Giovanna Lisa (Jr., Pratt): Lisa was the top finisher for Pratt at the Stockton University Osprey Open, covering the 6K track in 27:05.6 finishing in eighth overall.
 
Ava Ezzie (Fy., Gwynedd Mercy): The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's cross-country teams traveled to Stockton University to participate in the Osprey Open. Neither the men's nor women's team finished with a team score, however, freshman Ava Ezzie (Drexel Hill, Pa.) finished with a 28:46.48 finish placing her 21st in the six-kilometer (6K).
