Gwynedd Mercy's Bradley and Marywood's Kelly Awarded Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday, as Kira Bradley of Gwynedd Mercy was named Player of the Week and Danica Kelly of Marywood was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Kira Bradley
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Senior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Langhorne, Pa.
High School: Neshaminy
Brief Outlook of Week: Bradley recorded the 100th point of her collegiate career and caused the 100th turnover of her collegiate career in the Griffins' heartbreaker loss at Eastern. She finished the contest with five goals, three ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Earlier in the week, she set herself up for the milestones with two goals, five assists, nine ground balls, ten caused turnovers, and a draw control in a loss to Elizabethtown College. The 10 caused turnovers were a program single-game record.

Defensive Player of the Week: Danica Kelly

School: Marywood
Class: Freshman
Position: Attack
Hometown: Binghamton, N.Y.
High School: Chenango Forks
Brief Outlook of Week: Defensively, Kelly had a team-high 13 ground balls and three caused turnovers. She scored on a twizzler shot from an Avery Meighan feed, finishing with a team-best four goals. Kelly played more of a defensive role in a win over King's, totalling 12 ground balls and three caused turnovers. She also scored the game-winning goal in overtime, capping a three-goal comeback in the last 90 seconds to defeat Kean by a 15-14 decision. For the week, she finished with five goals and an assist for six points. 


Weekly Honor Roll:
Nora Dornich, Centenary:
Dornich had six goals and three assists, for nine points, on a 1-1 week, highlighted by the game-winning goal with 40 seconds left against Mount St. Vincent. Dornich also picked up five ground balls, caused five turnovers, and won three draw controls

Elena Colliluori, Gwynedd Mercy: Colliluori totaled eight points (five goals, three assists) while recording nine ground balls, six caused turnovers, and 19 draw controls in losses to Elizabethtown and Eastern. Against the Eagles, she totaled nine draw controls, four points (one goal, three assists), seven ground balls, and three caused turnovers.
