HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The 2025 Atlantic East Champions, Marymount, were selected as the front runner in the 2026 Atlantic East Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll. The coaches gave three first place nods to the Saints who accumulated 15 total points.
Marymount returns Eshan Degamwar for his junior year following a 2024-25 campaign that saw the Pune, India native receive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference Singles, First Team All-Conference Doubles accolades. Last year’s Rookie of the Year, Gunek Singh, posted three singles wins and one doubles win in the fall and was one of four Saints to receive First Team All-Conference accolades last season. Both Adam Stanulis, First Team All-Conference selection in both singles and doubles last year, and Nathaniel Tesfaye, the fourth First Team All-Conference Saint, return for their junior and senior seasons, respectively.
Pratt landed second in the poll, receiving two first place votes and finishing one point shy of Marymount, with 14 total points. After bowing out in the conference semifinals last year, the Cannoneers kicked off the 2025-26 season with a 3-2 record in the fall, highlighted by a strong showing from Mikah Liu. Liu, a 2025 First Team All-Conference selection for both singles and doubles, took home three of the five Player of the Week awards this fall, posting three wins in both singles and doubles. Going four-for-five in doubles this fall, Nathan Park also returns alongside Liu, showing a strong fall after being named to the 2025 Singles Second Team All-Conference.
Receiving 10 points and coming in third was Neumann, who made it to the AEC Championship match last season. The Knights are led by Jason Petrin, in his first season at the helm. Petrin was a standout player for Neumann, a 2024 Singles First Team All-Conference and Doubles Second Team All-Conference, and 2025 Singles and Doubles Second Team All-Conference selection.
The Mighty Macs found the fourth place spot in the poll, receiving six total points. Immaculata’s lone All-Conference selection, coming via Nicholas Brown on the Singles Second Team, returns for his senior campaign. He won four-of-six singles matches in the fall and went three-for-three in doubles.
Marywood, who posted a 5-5 record this fall, rounded out the group with five total points. 2025 Second Team All-Conference singles selection Fred Kloss has posted three singles and five doubles wins thus far in his junior season.
Conference play begins on Saturday, March 21, with Pratt heading to Neumann and Immaculata heading to Marymount. Marywood then opens conference play on Saturday, March 28, hosting Neumann. The AEC Tournament will begin with semifinals on Friday, April 24, on the campus of Neumann, with the semifinal winners meeting one day later, on Saturday the 25. From there, the champion will face off against the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) men’s tennis champion on Sunday, May 3 at the Hershey Racquet Club, with the winner earning an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament.
