HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Tennis weekly award winners on Monday, as Pratt’s Mikah Liu won the Runner of the Week award.
Athlete of the Week: Mikah Liu
School: Pratt
Class: Junior
Hometown: Austin, Texas.
High School: AESA Prep Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: Liu sat atop the lineup and contributed a pair of wins to the Cannoneers' 4-3 victory over Bard on Sunday. He won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3, at the top singles. The Austin, Texas native then teamed up with Caleb Callahan for a 6-2 victory at the top pairs.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Easton Ragno, Imaculata: Ragno, in his college tennis debut, won his singles match in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. He followed it up with a double win, 6-4, in Immaculata's match against Cairn on Saturday.
Fred Kloss, Marywood: Kloss led the Pacers to a 2-1 week, recording a 2-1 singles and 3-0 doubles record. After suffering a heartbreaking 7-6 (7-5), 1-6 [6-10] loss in a season-opening match against Scranton, the junior won his fifth singles sets by 6-4, 6-4 and 6-0, 6-3 scores against SUNY Delhi and Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.), respectively. Kloss teamed with Jack Biggs to beat the Royals 6-3 in third doubles, with the same duo tallying 6-0 doubles wins over the Broncos and Knights.
