Marymount Sweeps Major Awards for Men's Tennis, All Conference Announced

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Tennis All-Conference teams and major award winners on Wednesday, as Marymount swept major honors.

Eshan Degamwar earned Player of the Year and Elite 20 honors after an incredible season. Degamar finished conference play with an undefeated 4-0 record at No. 1 singles. Throughout the season he collected a 14-2 overall record. He also landed on first team doubles with teammate Adam Stanulis.

The Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for men's tennis, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships. Degamwar maintains a 3.982 GPA in computer science. For the entire selection criteria and process, click here.

Rookie of the Year honors went to Gunek Singh who finished conference play 4-0 at No. 3 singles and was 11-8 overall playing No. 2 and No. 3 singles throughout the season.

Marymount garnered Coaching Staff of the Year after a strong season. The Saints won the Divisional Championship and finished as the Atlantic East runners-up. Marymount is coach by David Carroll and assisted by graduate assistant Jack Tiene, and volunteer assistance Scott Farmer and David Evinger.
