Three Schools Pick Up Major Awards, Women's Tennis All Conference Announced

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Tennis All-Conference teams and major award winners on Tuesday, with Marymount, Pratt and Marywood each taking major honors.

Hana Kimmey was named Player of the Year after an undefeated conference record at No. 1 singles. She also played No. 1 doubles earning first team honors as well. At singles she finished the season 12-1 including a 10-0 record at No. 1 singles in dual matches. She also went 9-2 overall in dual matches at No. 1 doubles.

Pratt first year, Kayla Abraham earned Rookie of the Year after going 3-1 in conference play at No. 1 singles for the Cannoneers. Abraham had an overall record of 14-1 for the season. In double play she No. 1 finishing at 12-3, 3-1 in conference matches.

Marywood garnered Coaching Staff of the Year after finishing the season as the conference runner up. The Pacers are coached by Dana Ciccotti and assisted by Lyndsey Medric and Alex Riccio.

Lastly, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for women's tennis, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, was awarded to Marywood, Gabriella Nowak. The senior maintains a cumulative 3.94 GPA in Interior Architecture. For the entire selection criteria and process, click here.
